twice as nice
I snuck in a quick project for a friend of mine at the office--I actually allowed her to place a purse order! We went over to the LYS, she picked out the yarns and coincidentally I already had the pattern in my pattern stash--it's the Twice as Nice pattern by Shelley. I used the wonderfully feltable Lamb's Pride Bulky for the main color (M-65 Sapphire), and at the recipient's request added a touch of Fizz by Crystal Palace in color 9401 (shhhh... I still have a lot left!).
   Beginners, this is a great pattern for you--simple garter stitch base, pick up and knit around the bottom and go up in stockinette st, do an easy BO then YO for the drawstring holes, and do an easy I-cord bind-off (this was the first time I'd ever done this, and it's easy!). Then applied I-cord around the base, a short I-cord loop for the button and the drawstring, then the felting! Look for this cute pattern at your LYS.
